Water is not optional.

That is the whole reason we keep the phone on at night.

Who we are

A Society Hill outfit that works on Pee Dee water.

H&H Water Well Service is a veteran-owned well and pump company based on Russell Road in Society Hill, South Carolina. We drill new wells, replace and repair pumps, swap pressure tanks and recover equipment that has gone down the hole, for homeowners, farms and small businesses within 80 miles of Society Hill.

Around here, a lot of people are on well water and there is no city line to fall back on. When a pump quits, that house has no showers, no laundry and no coffee in the morning. We built the business around getting to those calls fast instead of putting them in a queue.

We would rather tell you the honest number and do the job once than get the work with a low quote and make it up later.

How we operate

Three things we will not do.

Sell you a pump you do not need

If it is a switch, a wire or a tank, we tell you that, even though the smaller job pays us less.

Move the price after the fact

You get a price before the work starts. If something changes once we are in the ground, we stop and call you before we do anything else.

Leave a mess in your yard

Drilling is dirty work. Cleaning up after it is part of the job, not an extra.

Common questions

Things people ask before they call.

How fast can you get here if I have no water?

Most no-water calls in our normal service area get handled the same day. We are reachable 24 hours, so the clock starts when you call, not when an office opens.

How do I know if it is the pump or something else?

You usually cannot tell from the faucet, and that is fine. Low pressure, air spitting from the tap, a breaker that keeps tripping and a pump that clicks on constantly all have different causes. We test the system and find out instead of guessing.

What does a new well cost?

It depends on how deep we have to go and what the ground does on your property. We come look at the site and give you an estimate before any drilling starts.

How deep will my well need to be?

Depth varies a lot even between neighbors. We look at nearby well records and the site itself to give you a realistic range up front.

Do you work on wells you did not drill?

Yes. Most of our repair work is on wells somebody else put in.

My pump fell down the well. Is the well ruined?

Usually not. Most outfits will tell you to abandon it and drill new. We jet and fish dropped pumps, pipe and tools back out, which is a repair bill instead of a new-well bill. Call us before you let anybody write the well off.
